RUFUS GIWA POLYTECHNIC, OWO (R&TJC) COMMITTEE
The Research and Technical Journal Committee (R&TJC) was established by the management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, for the purpose of achieving the following objectives.
OBJECTIVES OF R&TJC
- To set a standard for writing of quality journal articles and book manuscripts.
- To stimulate the Polytechnic community to embrace writing of quality journal articles and books.
- To intimate the Polytechnic community with contents of TETFUND’s circulars on journal and book manuscripts.
- To stimulate the academic staff to make oral public presentations.
- To follow-up/track Polytechnic documents/submissions at TETFund Office.
- Any other actions as may be directed by the Rector or Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF R&TJC
R&TJC performs the following specific functions.
- Making necessary arrangement for publishing of the institution’s journal.
- Making necessary arrangement for publishing of lecturers’ book manuscripts.
- Organizing inaugural lectures.
- Organizing public lectures.
- Organizing workshops to sensitize and orientate the academic staff on issues relating to writing of journal articles and book manuscripts.
- Any other actions as may be directed by the Rector or Management.
